In the “First Renaissance” section of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, an exhibition dedicated to the life and scholarly legacy of the great scholar Mahmud az-Zamakhshari is being organized. Here, visitors can see both the original and copied manuscripts of the scholar’s works “Al-Mufassal fi San‘at an-Nahw” and “Muqaddimat al-Adab”, gaining a visual sense of the true scholarly atmosphere of the 12th century.

Representatives of Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Tatar, and Turkmen national cultural centers in Uzbekistan visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.

In the Middle Ages, Movarounnahr and Khorasan were known not only as the lands of great commanders but also as the home of profound thinkers, scholars, and artists. In this intellectual and cultural flourishing, women, alongside men, played a vital role. Especially during the Timurid era, women’s participation held great importance in the social and cultural life of society.

The scientific and cultural heritage of our people, their contribution to Islamic civilization, as well as the activities of great scholars who emerged from our homeland during the First and Second Renaissance periods, are widely presented in a new format.
