The 1872 Gold-Framed Qur’an and a 1920 Epic Poem to Be Displayed at the Museum of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.

Politicians who strive to preserve history, culture, and civilization are certainly worthy of recognition. The President of Uzbekistan is undoubtedly deserving of such acknowledgment for establishing this cultural center and valuable historical and cultural complex. Personally, I also express my gratitude to him and to all the participants who contributed to the creation of this priceless ensemble.

In his historic address at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that the inauguration of a unique project for the region the Center for Islamic Civilization was expected in the coming days. The Head of State also highlighted Uzbekistan’s efforts in promoting a policy of tolerance, deeply studying and disseminating the ideas of Islamic enlightenment, stating: “A special presentation of the rich spiritual and scientific heritage of our great ancestors the eminent scholars Imam Bukhari, Imam Termizi, and Imam Maturidi will be held at the United Nations”.

The Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan has enriched its collection with another unique cultural heritage. This masterpiece, copied around 1585 in Central Asia, contains more than 50,000 couplets, encompassing history, heroic epics, and legends from ancient times up to the Sassanid dynasty.
