A scholarly discussion was held at the Center for Islamic Civilisation in Uzbekistan, which is under construction in Tashkent, focusing on the exhibition “The Second Renaissance – The Timurid Era”. Leading scholars from the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, the National University of Uzbekistan, and other prestigious research institutions took part.

Today, a meeting was held at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent with a distinguished delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran. The participants included Saeed Amir Karami, Cultural Affairs Advisor at the Iranian Embassy, Dr. Mohammad Hadi Fallahzadeh, Rector of the International University of Islamic Sects, Dr. Odil Khani, Director of the Asia and Pacific Department of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Dr. Yahya Jahangiri, as well as the leadership and scholars of the Center of Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan.

We often study history through books, manuscripts, or archaeological finds. But humanity’s oldest memories are preserved not only on paper but also engraved on rocks. A vivid example of this is rock art — petroglyphs.

Among the miniatures being prepared for display in the “Second Renaissance” section of the Museum of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, a special place is given to Saray Mulk Khanum, a prominent woman of the Timurid dynasty, widely known among the people as Bibi Khanum.
