In the history of Islamic culture, among the thinkers who promoted spiritual perfection, enlightenment, and love through poetry, Hafez Shirazi occupies a special place. This Sufi poet, who lived and created in the 14th century in the city of Shiraz, became the pride of Persian-Tajik literature.

A decision on this matter was adopted yesterday at the regular session of the Samarkand Regional Council of People’s Deputies.

From the very first days of its establishment, the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan has been systematically working on shaping the content and meaning of the museum exhibition, enriching each section both scientifically and conceptually. The Center’s exhibition covers various periods of civilization and includes nearly 800 projects, which are planned to be implemented step by step. At present, the main projects within the first stage are nearing completion.

Work is underway at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan to create a special interactive map that covers the enlightenment and achievements of Sahibqiron Amir Temur and the Timurid dynasty. This map will serve as an essential scientific and educational component of the permanent exhibition at the Center.
