Ayman Hussein Safadi
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
It is a great pleasure for me to be here following the historic state visit of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein to Uzbekistan last year. That visit marked an important milestone, elevating relations between our two countries to a new level. We are united by bonds of brotherhood, a shared history, and mutual trust, and today we continue to work consistently to deepen this cooperation.
Today, Uzbekistan is undergoing a period of comprehensive reforms and rapid development. The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan is an important institution that strengthens the spiritual foundations of this progress, preserves the nation's heritage on a scientific basis, and presents it to the international community.
Such an institution, which has succeeded in connecting a rich history with future progress, is an invaluable asset for any nation. I am confident that this solid historical foundation will also contribute to Uzbekistan’s future development.
We have clear objectives and a well-defined vision for further expanding cooperation between our two countries. Significant untapped opportunities still lie ahead. We are looking forward with great pleasure to the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Amman later this year. I am confident that this meeting will further strengthen our strategic partnership and give new momentum to bilateral relations.
