At the museum of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, the innovative exhibition titled “Time Tunnel” is being developed to showcase the history of the country and the progress of its civilization through modern multimedia technologies.

On April 29 of this year, numerous rare swords and daggers belonging to the collection of Philippe Missillier were put up for auction at Sotheby’s in London, United Kingdom. Among them was a sword presented by Asaf-ud-Daula, the Nawab of Awadh and one of the ministers of Shah Alam I, a representative of the Baburid dynasty, to the English army general Claude Martin.

The Holy Qur’an, as the word of Allah, was revealed to mankind as a Sacred Book. Since it was revealed in Arabic, peoples who did not know this language faced difficulties in reading and understanding it. Therefore, the Turks and Persians who accepted Islam felt the need to read the meanings of the Qur’an in their native languages.

On the stage of history, some figures are remembered with two faces: one as a ruler firmly holding the scales of justice, and the other as an enlightened patron of science and art. Zahir al-Din Muhammad Babur was one of such personalities, whose determination in governance and devotion to spirituality sealed his place in history as both a great statesman and a supporter of knowledge.
