Manfred Huterer
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Uzbekistan
This is my first visit to the Center, and it left a very strong impression on me. I believe that this Center, established at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is truly a great project of global significance.
Here, you are showcasing your roots — the roots of Islamic civilization and Uzbek civilization. The Center brings together many rare treasures, some of which have even been repatriated from foreign countries.
I believe that this Center is not only about the past, but also about the future. Through the ideas of the First, Second, and Third Renaissance, special emphasis is placed on the importance of human capital, education, and enlightenment.
Peaceful ideas are also promoted here. It once again demonstrates that Islam is a religion of peace. Uzbekistan’s policy of cooperation with neighboring countries is also a very impressive example.
I am confident that this Center will be of great importance for Uzbekistan and for the peoples of Central Asia as a whole. At the same time, it will become an important destination for foreign guests, politicians, and delegations. In the coming months, we will certainly bring delegations from Germany here.
Everyone who comes to Tashkent should definitely visit this Center. Visiting here has been a great gift for me.
