Silk carpets reflecting the scientific treasury of Islamic heritage have been placed in the “heart” of the Center

The Qur’an Hall of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan has been designed not only as the largest and most majestic section of the building, but also occupies a special conceptual place as the spiritual heart of the entire complex. Therefore, every visitor entering the hall first steps into an environment where the sacred word is exalted and the scientific and educational achievements of Islamic civilization are embodied. In this space, architectural design, artistic decoration, and spiritual meaning harmoniously merge to create a unified conceptual landscape.

A rare 900-year-old silk garment is on display

Having survived nearly nine centuries and reached our time, a rare silk robe is now on display in the First Renaissance section of the exhibition at the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, a unique complex in the world built on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Dating back to the 12th century, this garment is not only an example of exceptional textile craftsmanship but also a vivid expression of the traditions of statehood, diplomatic culture, and aesthetic thought that developed in Central Asia.

The greatest force that elevates society is knowledge and spirituality. Today, it has become one of the key scientific and educational institutions tasked with systematically collecting this heritage and transmitting it to the new generation.

Turonzamin harmonized cultures, civilizations, and religions

A Buddha statue, a Christian cross-amulet, traces of Zoroastrianism, and examples of Islamic architecture — these are not foreign to one another, but layers of history intertwined on the same land. For centuries, Movarounnahr developed as a region where different religions and cultures coexisted peacefully. Tolerance here was not a slogan, but a way of life. Today, this multilayered history can be seen within a unified concept in the exhibitions of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, built on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and expected to open in the near future.
