It is a great honor for me to participate in this international media forum. In a very short period of time, I have gained many new impressions and valuable insights. I believe the most important aspect of such a forum is that it brings together journalists, media representatives, and experts from different countries on a single platform, creating an opportunity for open dialogue about history, culture, and contemporary development.

It is highly important to continue holding this forum on a regular basis and to enrich it year by year with new topics and new participants. In this way, the rich history of Islamic civilization, its significance today, and its role in the future can be presented to an international audience in a broader and more contemporary format.

Of course, the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan holds a special place in this process. Establishing such a center requires a grand idea and a broad vision. Yet an idea alone is not enough — what matters is turning it into reality. I was deeply impressed that the President, his team, and all the specialists involved in this project were able to create such a large and significant center within a very short period of time. Today, the Center is not only a distinctive architectural landmark, but also an important educational space that showcases Uzbekistan’s rich scientific, cultural, and civilizational heritage. Alongside studying the past, it also provides an opportunity to connect historical heritage with contemporary development and visions of the future.

I believe one of the greatest opportunities for the international media lies precisely in showing this connection to a global audience — the link between Uzbekistan’s rich historical heritage, its development today, and its aspirations for the future. From the Great Silk Road, historic cities, and their centuries-long development to the processes of renewal taking place today, this story has the potential to generate significant interest among international audiences.

I would describe it as building the future while keeping the past close to the heart. It is precisely this approach that can further increase international interest in Uzbekistan. People are attracted not only by the country’s rich history, but also by its energy today, the aspirations of its younger generation, and its approach to turning new ideas into reality.

In this process, the role of the media is extremely important. The task of journalism is not to tell audiences what to think, but to present reality objectively, deliver important information, and give people the opportunity to form their own opinions independently.

Journalism not only covers ongoing events, but also creates a platform for the exchange of different opinions and perspectives. Such open dialogue helps generate new ideas, strengthen mutual understanding, and move society toward a more successful future.
