A mysterious symbol of 700 years of Central Asian art will be presented in the exhibition

Sometimes a single piece of fabric can tell the story of an entire civilization. This embroidered panel fragment depicting women on horseback is one of such rare monuments. Specialists describe it as one of the oldest and most important examples in the history of Central Asian embroidery, even symbolically calling it the “mother of embroideries.”

From Bahauddin Naqshband to Najmiddin Kubra: the legacy of Sufism presented in a contemporary interpretation

Central Asia has long held a distinguished place in global civilization, known for its great scholars, profound ideas, and rich scientific and intellectual heritage. Today, thanks to the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Islamic Civilization Center in Tashkent has become an important venue that showcases this invaluable scientific and spiritual legacy in a contemporary interpretation. In particular, in the Center’s First Renaissance section, the “Wall of Civilizations and Discoveries” features 3D mausoleums of prominent Sufi scholars such as Bahauddin Naqshband, Abdulkhaliq Gijduvani, Ahmad Yasawi, and Najmiddin Kubra, along with video presentations about their lives and contributions.

A rare artifact preserving the palace secrets of the Baburid era is on display in the exhibition

The object you see in the photograph may at first glance appear to be an ancient copper vessel. But in reality, it takes us back to the Baburid court of the 17th century — a world where music resounded, hunting scenes came to life, and ceremonial moments unfolded as gifts were presented before the ruler. This monumental vessel, decorated with depictions of hunters, musicians, and figures carrying offerings to the sovereign, is one of the most remarkable and conceptually rich examples of Baburid court art.

A nephrite bowl from the Baburid era: an artifact repatriated to our country from London

The nephrite bowl created in the XVII–XVIII centuries during the Baburid dynasty represents one of the historical objects that preserve the worldview and statecraft culture of its time through its historical significance. This rare artifact was repatriated to our country from one of the prestigious auction houses in London with the support of the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to return unique masterpieces of our cultural heritage from abroad.
