Many historians argue that after the Timurid period, the Second Renaissance in our land came to an end. However, contemporary scholarly research presents a different picture. In the Second Renaissance exhibition at the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, this very period — the era of the khanates — is given special attention. The artifacts displayed in this section demonstrate that cultural and scientific traditions did not cease after the Timurids.

A delegation of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan — a grand project established on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and based on the resolution of July 23, 2017, and built over nearly nine years. After familiarizing with this unique scientific and educational complex, the prestigious international delegation described it as “one of the most advanced and impressive museums in the world.”

A delegation led by Bakhtiyor Islamov, Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, built on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. While exploring the museum, the guests became acquainted with three thousand years of history and civilizations and were deeply impressed by the innovative approaches used in the exhibitions.

The Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, located in Tashkent, is today becoming a unique educational platform for youth. The visit of the delegation from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy once again demonstrated that this institution is not only a museum, but also a modern academic school that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
