A new institutional phase is beginning in the religious and educational sphere of Uzbekistan. At a recent meeting held at the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan, an initiative was proposed to establish the “Tamaddun” Association with the aim of studying scholarly heritage on a unified platform and promoting it globally. This initiative is regarded as a logical continuation of the spiritual and educational reforms being carried out in the country.

A meeting was held at the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan to discuss the concept of organizing a special international presentation at the United Nations General Assembly dedicated to the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan and the scholarly and spiritual heritage of the great scholars — Imam Bukhari, Imam Tirmidhi, and Imam Maturidi.

“Young people here are not just spectators, but participants.” This remark by a member of the International Olympic Committee became one of the key conclusions of the visit to the Islamic Civilization Center. The delegation described the Center as a vivid example of the harmonious integration of spiritual education and modern sporting values.

A delegation from the prestigious German organization focused on improving quality of life in developing countries and strengthening international cooperation — Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) — visited the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan.
